WILLE & THE BANDITS

Praised by critics and rock legends for being one of the most dynamic bands around today, Wille & The Bandits conjure up similarities with groups such as Led Zeppelin as they seamlessly move from riff - laden rock and roll to more acoustic sensibilities. The use of string arrangements, oscillating delays and soaring lap steel guitar also give the band an emotive Pink Floyd style edge, whilst also mixing inventive grooves and vocal phrasing to frequent surprise.

Wille & The Bandits adopt the essence, nostalgia and discovery of the late 60s and 70s, combining this retro-influenced music with elements of world music, dance music and even hip-hop. It all goes to make up a band simply bursting at the seams with textures, originality and soul – and only seeing them live would give you a true idea of the breadth of invention.

Indeed, with their fresh approach to blues rock music, Wille & The Bandits have been assertively carving a place for themselves in the music scene, developing a deserved reputation as one of the best live acts around while capturing the imagination of music lovers right across the globe.

‘The Bandits’ have also become firm festival favourites with the band being voted as one of the ‘Top Ten bands to see at Glastonbury’ by listeners to BBC Radio 1 – and even picked to play at the London Olympics as one of the UK’s very best Live acts. They have also toured with the likes of Deep Purple and Joe Bonamassa, and come to this year’s Classic TT after a 3-month tour of the UK that features the now-expanded line up of this superb band.

Wille & The Bandits play the TT Fan Park on Sunday 30th August as part of the Festival in a Day. Free to attend, music lovers can also catch the New Orleans inspired group, The Delta Trio, and the Woodstock-influenced classic rock band, Jawbone.
