STAR NAMES CONFIRMED FOR THE CHARLIE WILLIAMS CHAT SHOW: LIVE

Some of the most popular names spanning three decades of TT racing have been confirmed for the Charlie Williams Chat Shows. The two events make up part of the free-to-attend Paddock Carnival on Friday 23rd August and Classic TT fans are in for a real treat.

First up, at 1.30pm, are three of the superstars racing at this year’s Classic TT Races presented by Bennetts. Hot off the heels of a successful TT, Senior TT race winner Dean Harrison is joined on stage by his good friend and rival Lee Johnston, in what is always an entertaining match up. Johnston, who took his maiden TT win this year - and adorns the Festival of Motorcycling Programme - goes into the Classic TT with a real chance to add to his tally. Harrison will be just one rider out to stop him, but stopping each other from talking will be just as tall an order.

Also joining Charlie in the first of his chat shows is the ‘Flying Kiwi’ Bruce Anstey, who will be making a hugely popular and emotional return to racing on the TT Mountain Course. Charlie will be catching up with Bruce to find out how he’s enjoyed qualifying as well as looking ahead to the Dunlop Lightweight Classic TT, for which Bruce is still the lap and race record holder.

Following a spectacular stunt-filled interlude, courtesy of fan favourites The Purple Helmets, Charlie will return to the Classic TT Main Stage at 2.45pm with three riders who boast no less than 33 TT wins between them. Marking 25 years since his TT debut, Michael Rutter will be chatting all things Isle of Man and updating us on his much-anticipated autobiography. He is joined by his own ‘partner in crime’ and current King of the Mountain, John McGuinness, who will be aiming to be back on the top step at this year’s event.

Charlie will also be chatting to Michael Dunlop, whose season has been a story of ups and downs, including several injuries, but also a spectacular win at the TT on board the Paton Lightweight. Already an absolute legend of the sport, Michael will updating us on his condition ahead of the RST Superbike Classic TT, and whether he can add to his hugely impressive tally of TT and Classic TT victories.
