GREENALL RACING RETURN WITH STRONG THREE-RIDER LINE-UP IN FORMULA ONE CLASSIC TT
Long-time supporters of the event, Lancashire-based Greenall Racing will once again field a strong three-rider Kawasaki line-up when Nathan Harrison, Jamie Coward and Brian McCormack contest the three-lap Formula One Classic TT race scheduled for Wednesday 26 August.
Both Coward and McCormack will line up on the Kawasaki ZXR750, the most popular bike on the entry list, with Manxman Harrison on board the slightly later Kawasaki ZX7R model and all three will be confident of their chances.
Harrison finished second to then team-mate Rob Hodson in 2022, setting the fastest lap of the race at 126.326mph, before spending two years on his own Honda RC45. Last year saw him reunite with Angus Greenall’s team, and although the race was ultimately cancelled, a lap in qualifying of 127.204mph showed his race-winning potential.

The same applies to Coward, who joined Greenall Racing for the first time twelve months ago. He was only marginally slower than Harrison during qualifying last year with a lap of 126.245mph, and fresh from a strong Isle of Man TT campaign and encouraging performances of late in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, he too has another opportunity to add to his established Classic TT record.

Completing the line-up is the Republic of Ireland’s McCormack, the Waterford rider enters his fifth successive Classic TT event on the Greenall Racing Kawasaki’s. His only result in the previous years was in 2023 when he just missed out on the podium in fourth, the race also seeing him record his fastest lap to date in the class at 124.649mph

Greenall Racing have been contesting the Classic TT since 2014, when James Hillier finished second to Bruce Anstey in the four-lap Classic Superbike race before adding fourth place the following year. Horst Saiger gave the team further podiums in 2017 and 2018 when he placed third and second respectively, whilst Derek Sheils continued their strong run of form in 2019 when he also finished second.
The breakthrough victory finally arrived in 2022 when Rob Hodson defeated Harrison by 15.3 seconds to give Greenall Racing its first Formula One Classic TT success. Hodson returned to finish third in 2023, while the 2024 meeting saw two Greenall Racing machines back on the podium with Hodson and Sheils taking second and third places respectively. With no race held last year, the team now returns to the Mountain Course with ambitions of returning to the rostrum once more.
