Joey Dunlop Exhibition - Classic TT 2025

JOEY DUNLOP POP-UP EXHIBITION AND CINEMA

In 2000, Joey Dunlop reminded the world why he was the greatest of them all. The treble. One final, unforgettable week that closed the book on a legendary career and left an indelible mark on TT history.

Now, 25 years on, you can relive that iconic story with the Joey Dunlop Pop-Up Exhibition and Cinema - open daily throughout the Classic TT from Wednesday 20 to Friday 29 August.

Inside the Mercury Club, you’ll step into the story of that unforgettable week in 2000. Joey’s treble-winning machines take centre stage, joined by his iconic yellow helmet, leathers,  trophies, and a collection of personal items that bring both the man and the magic to life, from paddock passes to the unopened champagne bottle from the Ultra Lightweight Race race, to his unmistakable race transporter. It’s all here.

You’ll also find the leathers and helmets worn by fellow 2000 podium finishers John McGuinness MBE and Michael Rutter - a reminder of the names, rivalries, and respect that defined that era.

But this isn’t just an exhibition, it’s alive with atmosphere. The pop-up includes a cinema space screening footage from those incredible races as well as iconic Joey cinematography, plus a relaxed coffee bar where you can swap stories and let your own memories come to life.

Then on Thursday 21 August, don’t miss a special edition of The TT Podcast, recorded live inside the exhibit with guests who witnessed and played a part through that extraordinary week. As part of the recording, you’ll also hear from Stephen Davison, the photographer whose images from the 2000 TT take centre stage. His ‘Behind the Lens’ session brings the stories behind the shots into sharp focus with honest, emotional and unforgettable insight.

The Joey celebrations and 2025 Classic TT will reach a poignant conclusion with a special tribute lap by Michael Dunlop MBE, riding a replica Honda SP1 and sporting replica leathers and helmet to recreate one of the most iconic moments in TT history.

Whether you were there on the hedgerows or discovered the legend later, this is your chance to step inside the story and celebrate Joey Dunlop’s famous 2000 treble - 25 years on.
