David Johnson continues with Platinum Club Racing for the 2026 TT Races, riding the Kawasaki ZX‑10RR across the 1000cc classes.

DAVID JOHNSON & PLATINUM CLUB RACING CONTINUE TT PARTNERSHIP INTO 2026

David Johnson’s successful partnership at the Isle of Man TT Races with Platinum Club Racing will continue in 2026, as they line up together at the June event for a third successive year.

The Australian rider will again campaign a Kawasaki ZX‑10RR for Lee Hardy’s team, contesting the RST Superbike, RL360 Superstock and Milwaukee Senior races.

Johnson, who made his TT debut in 2010, first joined forces with the Norfolk‑based team in 2024 and immediately demonstrated their pace and potential in the Superbike race. A final‑lap spill at the K‑Tree ultimately cost him eighth place, but not before he had lapped at 131.438mph – his quickest lap since setting his 131.595mph personal best in 2015.

The combination returned to represent Kawasaki again in 2025, and Johnson produced one of the performances of the week with a brilliant fifth place in the four‑lap Superbike race. Three more 130mph‑plus laps were added to his tally, with a best of 131.097mph coming on the final lap. Johnson and the Platinum Club Kawasaki also featured strongly in the two Superstock races, securing a best finish of tenth in the second encounter.

Now with 53 TT starts to his name, Johnson is one of the most experienced riders on the grid. He has claimed 23 top‑ten finishes, highlighted by a superb third place in the 2019 Superstock TT behind Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison, and ahead of Michael Dunlop. A former Classic TT Superbike winner and the 15th fastest rider in TT history, Johnson brings both speed and consistency to the 2026 challenge.

The proven combination of Johnson and Platinum Club Racing is once again well‑placed to fight at the sharp end of the leaderboard as preparations build for this year’s event.
