MOTOTWELVE SET FOR TT DEBUT IN 2026 WITH CFMOTO MACHINERY IN SPORTBIKE CLASS

The team will compete in the two Carole Nash Sportbike TT races, fielding Shaun Anderson and Jamie Cringle in the all-new Sportbike category, riding a CFMoto 675SR-R. The entry marks a significant step for both the manufacturer and the Moto Twelve team as they prepare to meet the demands of the Mountain Course for the first time together.

Moto Twelve Racing and Chinese manufacturer CFMoto arrive at the TT following several successful seasons in the British Superbike paddock, where they have built a strong reputation in machine development and race performance. Their experience in the British Sportbike Championship is expected to provide a solid foundation for their transition to the Isle of Man TT Races and the unique technical and physical challenges the 37.73-mile course presents.

Although new to the TT, the CFMoto 675SR-R has already demonstrated its potential in short circuit competition. Scottish rider Adon Davie piloted the machine to eighth overall in the 2025 Pirelli National Sportbike Championship, including a second-place finish at the final round at Brands Hatch. That experience offers a useful reference point as the team begins its development programme on the Mountain Course.

Anderson’s experience makes him central to the project.

Anderson’s experience makes him central to the project. His background in engineering and development roles further strengthens his suitability to lead a new manufacturer’s TT campaign. The Northern Irishman has made 54 TT starts and is within the elusive club of riders who have lapped the Mountain Course at over 130mph. While his strongest results have traditionally come in the larger capacity classes, he has also demonstrated consistency in the Supertwin class, finishing 15th and 19th in 2025 with a best lap of 114.671mph.

Cringle, meanwhile, brings valuable local knowledge. The 28-year-old Manx rider enters his fifth year at the TT, continuing to build competitive experience around the Mountain Course. His only previous outing in the Supertwin class came in 2023, where he claimed 23rd place in the opening race before mechanical issues forced his retirement from the second race of the week. With further race mileage now under his belt, he will be in a strong position to make a step forward in the new Sportbike class. Working alongside Anderson is expected to accelerate both his development and the team’s understanding of the package.

The MotoTwelve Racing team will campaign the CFMoto 675SR-R in the 2026 Sportbike TT races

Jamie Cringle said: “Born and raised on the Isle of Man, this is a huge opportunity for me and one I’m incredibly grateful for. I’m really looking forward to learning more about the bike and working with the MotoTwelve team. I’m already excited about racing the CFMoto 675SR-R. around the Mountain Course.”

Shaun Anderson said: “It’s an exciting challenge to be part of a new project like this at the TT. Bringing a new manufacturer to the Mountain Course is something different, our focus will be on building consistency and developing the bike throughout the week for ahead of the two races.”

Eddie Roberts, Team Owner and Racing Director said: “Coming back to the TT for the first time since the late 1980s is a really exciting project for myself and team MotoTwelve-CFMOTO. We have two strong riders in Shaun and Jamie, and this year is about establishing a solid base and building for the future.”

Roberts also brings extensive experience within the sport, both as a racer and later in senior roles within the racing industry. He competed at Grand Prix level during his racing career and went on to enjoy success at the TT, including victory in the 1975 Production TT alongside Charlie Williams on a Honda 500.

AIS Resources Chairman, Martyn Element added: “I have previously visited the Isle of Man TT Races and I think it is fair to say that AIS is delighted to be involved in one of the world's most exciting sporting events as title sponsor of the Moto Twelve team”

Moto Twelve and CFMoto’s arrival adds further depth to the new Sportbike category, with a strong rider line-up, proven development capability, and a clear long-term ambition as they prepare for their debut at the 2026 Isle of Man TT.
