REVISED SCHEDULE FAQs
Why has the schedule changed again?
The schedule has been revised to reflect the latest weather forecast, the remaining operating windows available to the event, and the need to make best use of any suitable conditions over the coming days. The aim is to deliver as much of the remaining race programme as possible, while prioritising safety across the full Mountain Course.
What is the overall approach to the revised schedule?
The revised programme has been structured to make best use of the weather and operating windows available. With further unsettled conditions forecast, the schedule prioritises giving the Milwaukee Senior TT the strongest possible opportunity to run, while also protecting as much of the remaining race programme as conditions safely allow.
Why is the Milwaukee Senior TT being brought forward?
The Milwaukee Senior TT is the headline race of the Isle of Man TT Races and carries particular sporting, historic, broadcast and fan significance. Given the limited remaining available windows to schedule racing and the risk of further weather disruption, the schedule has been structured to give the Milwaukee Senior TT the best available opportunity to take place following last year’s cancellation, while continuing to deliver as much of the wider race programme as possible.
Does prioritising the Milwaukee Senior TT mean other races are less important?
No. Every race in the TT programme is important to the competitors, teams, fans, partners and organisers. However, with limited time remaining and continued uncertainty around the weather, difficult decisions have to be made about how best to use the available windows. The revised schedule is designed to balance the delivery of the headline race with the wider programme.
What is happening on Thursday?
Should conditions allow, Thursday's programme provides an opportunity to complete RL360 Superstock TT Race 1. However, given the limited time available within the remaining schedule, the race cannot be carried forward beyond Thursday.
How do I buy Grandstand tickets for Thursday 4th June?
Official Grandstand tickets for Thursday are available from iomttraces.com or from the Ticket Office located at the TT Grandstand. These will be available online from 18:00hrs on Wednesday 3rd June and from the Ticket Office from 09:00hrs on Thursday 4th June
What happens if the RL360 Superstock TT Race 1 cannot run on Thursday?
Should weather or course conditions prevent the race from taking place, it will be cancelled for 2026. In that event - as is standard procedure - the prize fund will be distributed equally amongst all qualified competitors.
Why would the RL360 Superstock TT Race 1 be cancelled rather than moved again?
The remaining schedule is limited and has to balance a number of races, available road closure windows, competitor mileage, marshal and medical cover, operational readiness, broadcast requirements and the risk of further weather disruption.
If the RL360 Superstock TT Race 1 cannot be delivered in the Thursday window, there is not sufficient flexibility within the remaining programme to carry it forward again without compromising the delivery of other scheduled races.
What is the revised Friday schedule?
Friday is currently scheduled to feature Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 2, Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 1 and the Milwaukee Senior TT.
All timings remain subject to weather, course conditions, operational readiness and confirmation from Race Control. A copy of the latest schedule can be found here.
Why is the Milwaukee Senior TT not the final race of the event?
In normal circumstances, the Milwaukee Senior TT traditionally provides the climax to the race programme. However, the continued weather disruption means the remaining schedule has to be structured around the best available opportunities to race safely. Placing the Milwaukee Senior TT on Friday gives the event a better chance of delivering the headline race, rather than leaving it exposed to further disruption later in the programme.
Why is the Milwaukee Senior TT four laps?
The four-lap Milwaukee Senior TT provides the best balance between maintaining the status and sporting integrity of the race, managing competitor mileage, and fitting the race safely within the available operating window.
Why is Carole Nash Sportbike Race 1 only two laps?
The revised race distance reflects the available time within Friday’s operating window and the need to balance the wider race programme. Race distances may be adjusted where necessary to support safe and realistic delivery of the schedule.
What is planned for Saturday?
The planned Saturday schedule is:
11:00 - Carole Nash Sportbike Race 2 - [3-laps]
14:00 - RL360 Superstock Race 2 - [3-laps]
This remains subject to weather, course conditions, operational readiness and confirmation from Race Control.
What happens if Saturday is affected by weather?
If weather or course conditions prevent Saturday’s programme from taking place, the Saturday schedule will move to Sunday. The planned Sunday contingency schedule would be:
13:30 - Carole Nash Sportbike Race 2 - 3 laps
15:45 - RL360 Superstock Race 2 - 3 laps
Why are the Carole Nash Sportbike Race 2 and RL360 Superstock Race 2 moving to Sunday?
Those races form the Saturday programme. If Saturday is lost to weather or course conditions, Sunday provides the remaining opportunity to run them, subject to conditions and operational readiness.
Could the schedule still change?
Yes. All timings, race distances and running orders remain subject to weather, course conditions, operational readiness and confirmation from Race Control. The Mountain Course is 37.73 miles long, and conditions can vary significantly from one part of the course to another. Decisions will continue to be based on the full course and the latest information available.
Why include Free Practice?
Free Practice laps are included to support competitor preparation, particularly following disruption and changing conditions. They give competitors the opportunity to assess the course before racing resumes. However, sighting laps remain subject to the available operating window and may be reviewed if necessary.
Can Free Practice be completed on any machine?
Yes. The Free Practice laps are listed as “any machine” to provide flexibility for competitors and teams, subject to the relevant operational and regulatory requirements.
Why can’t racing go ahead if the weather looks fine where I am?
Conditions can vary significantly around the Mountain Course. It may be dry and bright in one location, while another section is affected by low cloud, poor visibility, rain, standing water or wind. Racing can only proceed when conditions are suitable across the full course.
Why are decisions sometimes made close to the scheduled start time?
Weather and course conditions can change quickly. Race Control uses the latest available information when making decisions, which can mean decisions are made close to the planned operating window. The aim is always to provide updates as early as possible, while still giving the programme every safe opportunity to proceed.
Why not run more races on Sunday?
The Sunday operating window is limited, and the programme has to account for race distances, course preparation, grid procedures, recovery time, marshal and medical cover, and road reopening requirements. The contingency schedule reflects what can realistically be delivered within the available Sunday window, subject to conditions.
Why not extend road closures further?
Road closure arrangements require significant planning and coordination with residents, businesses, emergency services, marshals, transport operators and local authorities. Any changes must be operationally viable and safely managed. The current revised programme is based on the operating windows available.
What happens if Friday is also affected by weather?
If Friday is affected by weather or course conditions, Race Control will review the position and issue further updates through official TT channels. The priority will remain the safe delivery of the programme, with decisions based on the conditions, remaining windows and operational requirements.
What happens if the Milwaukee Senior TT cannot run?
If the Milwaukee Senior TT cannot run as scheduled, Race Control will review the remaining options based on weather, course conditions, available road closure windows and operational requirements. Any further decisions will be confirmed through official TT channels.
Are refunds available if the schedule changes?
Grandstand and Hospitality Tickets are booked for a particular date, rather than any specific race. Therefore, with there being races scheduled for both Friday 5th June and Saturday 6th June refunds will not be offered. Fans with specific ticketing or hospitality queries should contact tickets@iomttraces.com or visit the Ticket Office at the TT Grandstand for further information.
How will fans know what is happening?
Confirmed updates will be issued through official Isle of Man TT channels, including the website, social media, PA announcements, broadcast partners and relevant stakeholder communications. Fans are encouraged not to rely on unofficial posts or speculation.
What should fans do?
Fans should continue to follow official Isle of Man TT channels for confirmed updates, including road closure information, race timings and any further schedule changes. Please plan journeys carefully, allow extra time, and be mindful that road closure times and race schedules remain subject to change.
What is the key message?
Safety remains the priority. We understand the frustration. Thank you for your patience. Everyone involved wants to see racing on the Mountain Course, and the revised schedule is designed to give the event the best possible opportunity to deliver the remaining programme safely.
