ROAD TO 2024: COMING APRIL 11

Road to 2024, the Official Launch Show for the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races will screen from Thursday 11th April, exclusively to TT+ and available to view for free.

As ever, the curtain-raising event will feature many of the TT’s biggest names as well as some of the sport’s rising stars and hottest new prospects. A limited number of studio audience tickets are on sale now.

With anticipation building for what could be a truly historic year on the Isle of Man, Chris Pritchard, Grace Webb and Steve Plater will be bringing fans all the latest news and insider knowledge from the likes of Peter Hickman, Michael Dunlop, Dean Harrison, and John McGuinness MBE.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Undoubtedly the question on everyone’s mind ahead of this year’s TT is ‘will Michael Dunlop do it?’, and by ‘do it’, we are of course talking about his opportunity to become the most successful TT racer of all time. With 25 TT wins currently to his name, another win this year would match his late uncle, the legendary Joey Dunlop. As the leading man and lap record holder in both the Supersport and Supertwin classes, all eyes will be on the Northern Irishman.

One man who is expected to stand in his way is outright lap record holder and 13-time TT winner Peter Hickman. After taking 4 wins a piece in 2023, the pair have now taken a 24 victories from the last 27 solo TT races.

BIG MOVES AND FRESH FACES

TT Legend John McGuinness MBE will take to the stage alongside new team member 3-time TT winner Dean Harrison who was unveiled in Honda Racing UK colours for TT 2024, having left the DAO Racing Kawasaki team earlier in the year.

With his new machinery, Dean will undoubtedly be looking disrupt Dunlop and Hickman’s party this year. John and Dean will be joined by rising talent Nathan Harrison, who as a trio will be looking to strike the perfect balance between youthful enthusiasm, and experience.

Also joining our hosts on stage will be 16-time race winner Ian Hutchinson who returns to racing on the TT Mountain Course this year, reuniting with the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles team with which he claimed a historic five-in-a-week back in 2010, a feat yet to be equalled. He will be joined by popular Manxman Conor Cummins, and Padgett’s Racing Team owner Clive Padgett to discuss their plan of attack for this year’s event.

A NEW ERA ON THREE WHEELS

In what is being herald as a ‘new sidecar era’, 14-time TT race winner Ben Birchall begins a new chapter having confirmed Kevin Rousseau as his new passenger for the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races, who replaces Tom Birchall after his shock retirement from the sport last month.

They line up against 2022 and 2023 World and British Sidecar Champions, Todd Ellis and Emmanuelle Clement, who are set to make a highly-anticipated TT debut this year.

We will hear from both teams as well as strong local talents Ryan and Callum Crowe, and 17 times TT winner Dave Molyneux and his passenger Jake Roberts.
