RYAN GARSIDE STEPS UP TO MAKE ISLE OF MAN TT DEBUT IN 2026
Hailing from Fleetwood, 34-year-old Garside will contest four races at the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, lining up for newly formed It’s Legit Racing in the two Carole Nash Sportbike TT races aboard a Triumph Daytona 660. He will also compete in both Monster Energy Supersport TT races riding a Triumph Street Triple 765RS for Wignalls Chartered Surveyors, with additional personal support from Helical Technology.
The Nuneaton-based It’s Legit Racing team make their own TT debut alongside Garside, targeting a strong foundation year on the Mountain Course as both rider and team begin their TT journey together. The programme reflects a measured approach focused on gaining experience and supporting long-term progression.
Garside, a former podium finisher in the British Supersport Cup, arrives at the TT following a steady rise through short circuit and road racing competition. He secured fifth overall in the 2023 championship with 13 top-six finishes, including podium appearances at Oulton Park and Donington Park, while also scoring points in the main British Supersport Championship.
His first experience of the Mountain Course came at the 2024 Manx Grand Prix, where challenging weather conditions limited time on course but still yielded encouraging finishes of 18th and 19th in the Senior and Junior races respectively. Returning in 2025, Garside demonstrated clear progress, overcoming retirement in the opening Supertwin race to secure an impressive 11th place in the Junior race on the Carleton Autos/Barnes Racing Kawasaki with a best lap of 113.546mph.
Garside also impressed in the Supersport and Senior Manx Grand Prix races, where he recorded tenth-place finishes in both outings. His personal best Mountain Course lap currently stands at 118.622mph, achieved in the Supersport race on the Wignalls Chartered Surveyors Yamaha YZF-R6, underlining his growing confidence and suitability for TT competition.

Mark and Katherine Bannister, It’s Legit Racing said: “We’re both delighted to start our TT story with Ryan riding our Triumph Daytona 660. Having known Ryan for a few years and seeing his progress at the Manx Grand Prix. Our aim for 2026 is to achieve a top-twenty finish in the Sportbike TT while gaining valuable knowledge to build towards stronger results in 2027.”
Ryan Garside added: “I’m mega excited for the TT in 2026. I’ve had a couple of years learning my way around the Mountain Course and have improved steadily, so the TT is the next step I always hoped for. We’ve got racing planned with No Limits as preparation, which should help me keep improving and arrive ready to make the most of the opportunity. I can’t wait to get on the boat over to the Island. Massive thanks to Tom, Mark, Kate, all my sponsors and everyone involved in helping make this happen.”
The team also acknowledged the support of technical crew PJ, Dave, Baz and Stevo alongside sponsors Moto Mafia, Tru-Tension, Frando, DP Brakes, ABE, P1 Race Vans, Spark Comps Ltd, Premier Motorcycle Experts, Neo Tools, Smallboy Track Bike Hire and Race Fasteners.
