WOMEN RIDERS WORLD RELAY TO LEAD 2026 TT LEGACY LAP

WOMEN RIDERS WORLD RELAY TO LEAD 2026 TT LEGACY LAP

The TT Legacy Lap will take place on Sunday 31 May 2026, giving you the chance to come together with the wider TT community and take part in the speed controlled open roads mass convoy around the 37.73-mile TT Mountain Course.

This year, the Legacy Lap will be delivered as part of the Women Riders World Relay (WRWR), a global movement created to connect women riders around the world. WRWR’s first relay connected 20,000+ women across 102+ countries, and the mission continues today: to connect every woman motorcyclist in the world.

As part of that activation, you’ll be led away by female riders and participants, marking a new chapter for a tradition built on remembrance, community, and shared respect for the Course.

The TT’s history includes women who’ve helped shape the story of these roads - from Beryl Swain, who broke new ground by lining up in a TT race in 1962, to modern trailblazers and record-setters like Jenny Tinmouth, whose pace on the Mountain Course raised the bar for everyone. The involvement in the Women Riders World Relay reflects that same commitment, and the shared respect the Course demands.

“Women Riders World Relay is incredibly proud to lead the 2026 TT Legacy Lap and to see women riders at the front of such an iconic event. The TT has always been about passion, community and respect for the Mountain Course, and this year’s Legacy Lap is a chance to celebrate all of those things together.

Seeing women at the front of the convoy sends a powerful message that motorcycling is for everyone and reflects WRWR’s mission to connect women riders around the world, inspire them to be the best they can be, and challenge perceptions of what women riders can achieve. We are honoured to help lead this special moment on the Isle of Man.”  Lisa - WRWR Isle of Man Ambassador.

The Legacy Lap began as a tribute originally known as the Simon Andrews Lap, introduced in memory of Simon Andrews. Over the years it has grown into an opportunity for the TT community to commemorate the legacy of many people, memories and machines that have helped shape road racing on the Isle of Man.
